To carry out the proposal Analysis of Post-Electing Arena, ,
MÉXICO 2012, A look from Monterrey and its Metropolitan
Area Opinion leaders, 11 in-depth interviews were conducted
to representatives of political parties, journalists, academics
and representatives of NGOs and CSOs, which were submitted
to a subsequent detailed analysis supported by Nvivo program,
so that from their perspective as leaders of the regional setting
opinion, they would contribute to answer the research objective
that guides us: to comprehend the perception towards the
political culture of the opinion leaders in the state in the postelecting
Arena, Mexico 2012. During the ethnographic work, it
was emphasized on the contribution and impact of traditional
media and social networking to the knowledge of the electing
process in citizens.

This essay poses some theoretical and critical thoughts about
the mediatic preparation of social protest free from politics. We
understand that these representations on TV inscribe themselves
as speeches, which bear mythic and aesthetic components,
showing certain mechanisms of ideological transfer, that give
an account for the internalization of the neo-liberal hegemony,
which tends to reduce and privatize the argumentative political
speech under a compressed and disposable form that cannot
be but a hollow portrait of the deliberation and elucidation of
what is political.

This article presents an interpretative analysis of the results
of the investigations carried out from the organizations of
civil society, the State and the academy in Mexico, Argentina,
Bolivia, and Colombia, whose object of study has been notices
with and without sexual content used to attract young people
to the exploitation and trafficking. It shows answers to basic
questions from the functionalist models, and structuralism
critic of social communication, such as: What is the relationship
between classified ads and sexual slavery? Who use and what
is the purpose of using classified ads with and without sexual
content? Where is the source of this type of investigations
and what is the reason for carrying them out? What type of
analysis methodologies are used to make the interpretation of
this phenomenon? What results have been obtained? What are
the challenges those investigations impose on us? This article
offers a characterization of the modus operandi or the way how
it behaves capturing youngsters through mass, alternative, and
informal media in pro of the prevention to vulnerable victims.
In the same way, it makes strategies developed by each of the
agents that act against trafficking in persons available.

This article explores the theoretical approaches to the culture
as concept, its links with globalization, and the cultural
entrepreneurship development in countries like Colombia.
From the cultural entrepreneurship perspective, the definitions
related to theoretical propositions to the potential applications
based on the use of media and communication technologies
are considered. A virtual multimedia library is the outcome
of these relationships; the products in the design, advertising
and marketing areas by students is the main supply to build
a digital repository, a platform for exposition, spreading and
cultural entrepreneurship for emerging artists in the near future
that also make memory around communication possible to be
constructed.

Through category territorial stigma the possible convergence in Venezuela media when reporting on criminal violence and public policies on citizen security was studied. To do this, Correo del Orinoco (public) and El Universal (private) newspapers were considered because they have apparently antagonistic editorial lines on this issue.

This article examines the role played by the media in the
construction of reality, and specifically the role played –more
clearly after the attacks of September 11, 2001 in New
York and Virginia– by the American media –including some
newspapers, television stations, magazines, and governmental
agencies’ websites (where official documents are periodically
published)– and certain “alternative media” (anti-capitalist and
anti-American), mainly Latin American, in the construction of the
external image of the so-called Parana Tri-Border Area (Paraguay,
Brazil, Argentina). As it will be seen, these representations –
especially the American ones–, despite having little support,
have contributed to produce a negative external image of the
area, almost cinematic, marked by the presence of Islamic
terrorists, traffickers of all kinds of products and CIA agents, a
view that seems to differ from the one that prevails within the
Tri-Border Area.

This text proposes a second thought to television audience
transnational nature assuming that this exceeds a specific
circumstance of migrants and that due to economy globalization
of communication it installs on the nature of communication
processes. In the first part, .a conceptualization of what is
transnational applied to audiences will be proposed, and in
the second part, the argument that this transnational character
has been originated in the development and massification of
digital technology and the processes of economy globalization
which have allowed the consolidation of media translational
corporations is developed. In this sense, transnationality of
audiences exceeds specific circumstances linked to migrations
and is installed on the nature of communication developed in
society

This article explores how the combination of two factors: fear and
consumer’s society have become one of the key growth drivers
of shopping mall in Colombia and especially in Medellin. In these
places, the consumption of products and services is encouraged
and at the same time, consumers are invited to escape from the
inherent dangers of living in a contemporary city.

This article describes why social media become an almost
essential element in today’s business management. In reaching
this conclusion a number of qualitative and quantitative
techniques were used. It highlights the advantages and features
of the implementation of a Social Media Plan in order to argue
and reason the benefits that a proper management of a strategy
in social media provide to an organization.

Relevant background before Reading and Writing and the
application of concepts such as written culture (Emilia Ferreiro),
academic literacy (Paula Carlino and Giovanni Parodi), and
literacy (Daniel Cassany) in different researchs lead by some
Higher Education Institutions - with emphasis in our country,
bearing also in mind theoretical-methodological and research
contributions in both Hispano America and other countries as
well -, are presented in this article.

Journalism is changing with the development of Information
and Communication Technology (TIC abbreviation in Spanish)
and the emergence of new online media that are changing the
traditional work routines, content, production, distribution,
and consumption of information. This new stage is marked
by the digital convergence in its various dimensions and the
multiplication of new platforms, tools, and formats reception,
dissemination and interaction that invite to change journalists’
professional profiles and to give a second thought to their new
skills to practice. To build the new profile of the journalist, a
qualitative and quantitative research through surveys, depth
interviews and discussion groups applied to the various actors
of media companies and managers of journalism programs
in Colombia were conducted from three professional skills:
business-technological, content communicative and users
professional. It was concluded with the construction of a map of
competencies of a journalist in a digital context, among others,
to produce contents, languages and multimedia narratives. to
implement technologies and networks, to create informative
and interactive formats consistent with the preferences of the
audience, and to adapt to the new communication ecosystem.
